This music is generated from a single-octave 13-note dissonant interval scale. The structure is an ascending arpeggio spanning three octaves with all notes randomized within their dedicated octave. The thirteen notes of the scale were determined by using the Plomp-Levelt / Sethares sensory roughness model. Mathematically speaking, they are the ‘most dissonant’ frequency intervals for…
I became inspired to create something using the MOST dissonant intervals. Using the Plomp and Levelt model to create a single-octave dissonance curve, I notated points where the slope was zero (visually, these are the peaks). The points were then sorted by dissonance value to find the five most-dissonant intervals. By including the root, a…
Created a video for the entire album to drone on for about 50 minutes, no interruptions. Super spacey, tons of tones, ethereal and dissonant vibes. Or, just enjoy the visuals and listen to whatever you like 🫠 A quick blurb about each track with video playback start times: Count Pogson’s Court 0:00 Tuning temperament is…

Goofing around with 192-EDO to enable an excuse to experiment with new toys and techniques all day. 192-EDO is defined as 192 Equal Division of the Octave, or an octave with 192 notes. A 32nd tone is the size of the step in this temperament (6.25 cents / step). DAW: Cubase Pro from SteinbergVSTs: Serum2…
A demonstration presenting a method for creating music from color. This piece utilizes an octave of 256 equal divisions to match the 0-255 values found in RGB codes. Triads, or chords, are formed from the individual Red, Green, and Blue values derived from a five-color palette extracted from an image. The triads for the RGB…
This music video combines Astrological charts and esoteric magical order correspondence systems as a muse for the creation of dark downtempo ambient music. Primary sources for the correspondence systems and musical cryptogram are the books The Golden Dawn and The Middle Pillar by Israel Regardie; The Tarot: A Key to the Wisdom of the Ages…
The scale for this idea in 343 EDO was all determined by integer sequences. Specifically, the Fibonacci, Lucas, and Tribonacci sequences and the Triangular, Tetrahedral, and Pentatope numbers.
A microtonality experiment using an irregular interval set determined entirely from all the integer ratios of Harmonic Class 13 (HC13).
How to use esoteric correspondence systems to create music. This video specifically highlights the method established by Paul Foster Case and the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. This technique is also known as Musical Qabalah, Tone Alchemy, or Hermetic Music. This video presents the sonification of the Astrological Chart for the Autumnal Equinox 2025…
