This music is generated from a single-octave 13-note dissonant interval scale. The structure is an ascending arpeggio spanning three octaves with all notes randomized within their dedicated octave.
The thirteen notes of the scale were determined by using the Plomp-Levelt / Sethares sensory roughness model. Mathematically speaking, they are the ‘most dissonant’ frequency intervals for a single octave.
